Gill Thomas, a Stroud District councillor, initiated a personal test when she noticed a dog waste hot spot in her neighborhood. She collected 750 dog waste bags because she wanted to create home compost through her wormery system, even though she lacked a pet dog. She has gradually been working on approximately 60 bags of the monthly workload.<\/span><\/p>\n

The process of composting takes approximately six months. Thomas has used the resulting compost to grow both pumpkins and sunflowers, which demonstrates its capacity to support plant growth.
